WHEN: Registration will start at 9:30am, and the walk will kick off at 10am! The activity stations will be open from 10am -12pm, so come by anytime between those hours and enjoy a brisk walk around the mall, while you learn how to lower your risk of heart disease and stroke.
WHY: National Walking Day is the American Heart Association’s national initiative that champions walking to increase physical activity and help the community move away from a sedentary lifestyle. On this day, Americans are encouraged to lace up their sneakers and take at least 30 minutes out of their day to get up and walk. It's a great way to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and to give family, friends and co-workers a friendly push toward a healthier life.
